You can buy the game through Desura (which supports PayPal) and will be mailed your key. PC and Linux survivors can play through the Desura client if they so choose, while all survivors (including Mac users) can use their Desura key on game builds downloaded from this site. In all cases you purchase a lifetime license, which entitles you to the game and all future updates.

A Steam version will be on the way at some point, and at that time all those who’ve purchased the game will get a key if they desire it.

You can also download Public Test Builds of upcoming updates from the PZ downloads section here. These are likely to be more advanced in terms of game features, but will contain bugs. They are also available in your list of ‘Purchased Downloads’ on Desura.

LEGAL INFO – Due to us using the money to actively fund development, and therefore to protect ourselves and our transaction handlers from the risk of some mass refund request, we need to state that we do not accept refunds (though in extenuating circumstances we may consider it). Your key will remain valid for all future updates (this applies to PC, Mac and Linux desktop only and not any potential future sequels or offshoots related to the game.) of Project Zomboid and we intend to support it for many years to come. However we are not legally bound to provide additional updates, and you are paying for the product as it stands now.
