It’s a short Mondoid this week we’re afraid. Not only is it a national holiday in the UK, but the majority of the team are on planes, in Eurotunnels, finishing off at the Birmingham Insomnia gaming event and staring forlornly through Southern Rail windows after a Zomboid wedding in Newcastle. (Congratulations Chris and Jamborina!) As such, the usual Monday ‘news gathering’ Skype routine has proved… troublesome.
Thankfully the Lemborina Honeymoon is much later in the year, so anims progress is ongoing and the grindstone won’t be lonely. Elsewhere, meanwhile, RJ has been pumping out some fun stuff in our ‘small job, big impact’ tidy-up before the deluge of fun new jobs with the animation/combat/clothing update.
IWBUMS 35.10 and 35.11 now sees fall damage tied to your weight and athleticism, randomises your starting condition and some belongings, towels now dry over time (!), tea and coffee can now be made to your preference (!!), stairs require more planks and nails to build and certain foodstuffs can now reduce thirst.
RJ has also made a few experimental changes to UI control and display. There’s a ‘Transfer All’ button to match the ‘Loot All’ option, for instance, and he’s now looking into a ‘favouriting’ system so you can transfer everything apart from your more favoured loot. He’s also adjusted Inventory Management so it’s more in-line with what you expect on Windows – with Ctrl-select allowing you to choose several separate items from your loot list, and Shift-Select letting you select a chunk of them.

That’s all for this week we’re afraid, but we’ll try to get a bumper one next time to make up for it. Toodles!
This week’s amaze-o safehuse from Cafudducazzuto over in Steamland. Once the Centralized Block of Italicised Text has stopped crying from the pure emotion of it all and failed in its attempt to catch the bouquet, it would like to direct your attention to the PZ Wiki should you feel like editing or amending something, and the PZ Mailing List that can send blogs like this and patch notes direct to your mailbox. We also live on Twitter right here! So beautiful. Just… so beautiful.
