Hey survivors, we hope your festivities are going well if you’re celebrating – and that your cakes are bleach-free and your wounds non-infected.
Short and sweet news on Zomboid due to Christmas, but the rudiments are that we’re prepping a similarly short and sweet build 36 for release very early in the New Year. We intend to release builds more regularly in 2017 and not to wait on ‘big’ features just for the sake of it, just so we keep the motor running and avoid situations like the glacial wait for Build 35. If there’s stuff that can go in while other games systems are still (still) on the boil, we shouldn’t just sit on them.
We wanted to call time on Build 35 as we felt an upload to GOG was necessary pre-Xmas, and now have an IWBUMS beta test running for a rapid-fire Build 36 to follow it up. This contains Turbo’s multi-sprite item movement and will also soon contain some MP/Admin additions that RJ is working on over Christmas – handy subsidiary systems that will (after a very short spell in beta) be best tested out in the wilds of a public release.
Hope everyone’s having a great holiday season. See you next year!
